In hot weather the fibers expand making the rope slightly firmer. In cold weather they contract making the weave slightly looser and the rope softer. These is true for 100% nylon ropes, poly blend ropes have a lot less expantion and contraction. They tend to get softer in hot weather and firmer in cold since the poly doesn't react like 100% nyjon.

I understand the rope selection for your swing but I dont understand the rope selection for the weather. Can some one explain to me how cold/ hot makes a difference between XS and XXS?
