Oh, how do I enjoy Team Roping, let me count the ways… not exactly original, but it can sum up the feelings of competitive people. I had a Banker tell me one time he would sooner make a loan for a ‘recreational item’ instead of a new home, because they try like heck to keep what they enjoyed the most. We seem to sometimes go to the extreme to satisfy our individual goals in life.
Was it not more so with God? Even before He created man, He provided a way for us to be saved from our own sins. God desired fellowship with His creation so much that He sacrificed His only son for us. Thank you God for Jesus Christ our Savior.
John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. NIV
Thank you God for your Son.
What must I do to be saved?
ACTS 16:29-31
29 The Jailer called for lights, and rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved- NIV
It took an Earthquake to bring the jailer to his knees, and too often it takes tragedy, hardship or a situation that involves more then we can seem to handle to realize that we need Jesus in our lives. We all need Jesus in our lives! So first things first. Seek the Lord, Repent your sins, and Believe He died on the cross for your Salvation.
