7/23 Drew Horner: Uncoiled. Nampa, ID

We had a pretty good week. We went to Salinas, CA and Nampa, ID. It’s a tough stretch to get between the two rodeos; we had to fly back and forth. I rode my sorrel horse, Goose, in Salinas and my black horse in Nampa. We didn’t win any money in Salinas, but did really good in Nampa. We were 5.6 on our first one and 4.9 on our second one. We placed in the second and won about $1,500. Then we came back as high call back team by 7/10’s of a second. We had to be 9-something on the short round steer. We drew a good steer and went out there and caught him. We won the rodeo and won second in the short round. I won a total of about $5,700. That paycheck really helped us out a lot and put us over the $50,000 mark.
