Despite the Mystery of the Future of Rodeo

0

I get excited thinking about the winter rodeo season. I really like it. My favorite time to rodeo is from January to the end of May. It seems as if all we go to are BIG rodeos for BIG money and we don’t have to kill ourselves with a ton of all night drives, back to back. It’s a good way to rodeo.
Its the beginning of the year for rodeo season and I am really excited. There is obviously a bunch of hype with the future of rodeo and its a fresh start for everyone to make a break for the NFR this year. Everyone is back on a neutral playing field, although the best will most likely still come out on top, there are always new kids that come up to join them occasionally, kind of like Buddy and I did last year. Hopefully we can do it again though. Now, no one is really certain on the future of rodeo and the direction it will be going, but there is one thing I am excited about. The contestants seem to be UNITED!!! Which is incredible! The future of rodeo could be great! No one really knows what could happen to rodeo. All we can do right now is hold our ground and try to keep progressing the sport of rodeo.

While I do my best to stay on top of the latest news and progress of rodeo, I still need to maintain my focus on the here and now. It is not a necessity to have a good start to the year at the rodeos, but it definitely helps! Buddy and I have won 100 dollars at our first three rodeos… not very good! We do feel pretty ready to go and get are ready to get in a groove for this winter. We are up at Denver this Friday night and Saturday morning. That is a great rodeo! I really like Denver. It’s fun to compete at and we get a chance to rope at some good money. The steers are typically pretty tough there. They tend to be bigger and run a little bit harder. I am planning on riding Tex there, so I have been working him a little bit on the machine to keep him flat across the line and have been building some confidence on him for myself so we can hopefully put together two good runs and come back to the short round the next weekend.
Though there has been much talk about the future of rodeo, we really do not know what is going to happen quite yet. No moves can be made yet and no one can really make any decisions until a few things are settled. Until then, I need to stay focused on the here and now. Buddy and I need to win. We both would like to start winning at Denver. DH
